Treatment Modality

I mostly work psychodynamically with my clients. Within the psychodynamic approach to therapy, emphasis is placed on feelings and behaviours. Through exploration within a safe space, therapy aims to build insight and awareness into problems and behaviours in order to better understand the links between past and present experiences.
Despite this being my preferred modality, the unique needs of my clients are of utmost importance to me. I am trained within other treatment modalities (Including CBT and DBT) and am flexible to adjust to the particular needs of each person.
My approach is highly collaborative and therefore during the first few sessions we will assess your problem together, and then make a joint decision about what your specific needs are, and what treatment approach will suit you best.
